一、教学目标

Step1. Pre-reading
1.T:Hello, boys and girls. My name is Xu Ying, so you can call me Miss Xu. Good morning, boys and girls.
S: Good morning, Miss Xu.
T: Today I am your new teacher, I think we can be good friends.
T: Look at the calendar, what date is it today?
S: It’s the 24th of OCT.
T: Yes. And in Oct. there is a special day. Look, it is National Day. Teach: National Day
T: We don’t go to school for 7 days, it is a long holiday. Teach: holiday

2. T: Last week was the National Day holiday, what did Helen and Nancy do? Let’s watch the cartoon and try to fill in the blanks. While watching the cartoon, please try to take notes on your paper.
