A new term
This is a new term. This term I have nine subjects. They’re Chinese, English, Maths, Art, Music, Computer Studies, Science, Social Science and PE. I like English. I have four English lessons a week. I can listen to English and speak English at English lessons. I can also sing English songs and play games. I like PE, too. I have three PE lessons a week. At PE lessons, I can play basketball with my classmates. I can play table tennis with my friends. I hope I have more PE lesson a week.
A telephone call
A:Hello. May I speak to B?
B:Yes, speaking.Who’s that?
A:This is A speaking.
B: Hello, A.
A: Hello, B. This Sunday I’m going to Hongmei Park. Would you like to go with me?
B: I’m sorry. I’d like to. But I’ll go to see my grandparents this Sunday.
A: What about this Saturday afternoon?
B: That’s OK! Shall we meet at the bus stop at one o’clock in the afternoon?
A: OK. Now let’s do our homework first.
B: Good. See you tomorrow!
A: See you!
My family’s hobbies
I have a happy family. There are four people in my family. They’re my father, my mother, my brother and I. We have many hobbies. My father likes reading newspapers. He read newspapers every day. My mother likes cooking. She can cook nice food for us. My brother likes playing basketball. He plays basketball with his friends every Sunday afternoon. I like drawing pictures. I can draw many beautiful pictures. Do you have any hobbies, too?
My friend
I have a good friend. She’s a girl. She’s twelve. She lives in Changzhou. She studies in a primary school. She goes to school from Monday to Friday. She’s good at English. She helps me with my English. I’m good at Maths. I help her with her Maths. We have the same hobby. We both like playing table tennis. We play table tennis every Sunday afternoon. Do you have a good friend, too?
My school life
I study in a primary school. I’m in Class Five, Grade Five. I go to school from Monday to Friday. I have three lessons in the morning and three lessons in the afternoon. My first lesson begins at eight thirty. I do morning exercise in the playground at ten o five. After that, I can play many games. I have lunch at eleven fifteen. After lunch, I can read some books. I can play games, too. I go home at four twenty. I have a busy school day. But I have a happy school life.
