Unit 8 At Christmas 第二课时教学设计Cartoon time, Song time &Culture time)

一、教学目标
1. 能听懂、会说、会读词汇: song, us, him, always,What’s wrong with… ?Merry Christmas!
2. 能理解cartoon time 内容,主动参与故事的建构,养成良好的学习习惯。
3. 通过圣诞节的谈论,适时进行文化渗透,让学生乐于了解异国文化。
4. 培养学生小组合作和的能力和交际意识,激发学习英语的兴趣。
二、教学重点 
1. 能理解cartoon time 内容,主动参与故事的建构,养成良好的学习习惯。
2. 能正确运用所学的词汇和句型来谈论圣诞节。

五、教学过程
Step 1: Warm-up
1. Greetings and self-introduction: I’m your new English teacher, you can call me Miss Yang.
2. T: Miss Yang like music. Do you like music? Let’s listen! (Music: jingle bells)
Do you know what’s the song about?
 Ss: Christmas.
 T: Today we’re going to talk about Unit 8: At Christmas.
Step 2: Presentation
1. T: Christmas time is coming. Do you like Christmas? You must know a lot about Christmas.
 So can you tell me what does Christmas come with?
 S: Christmas comes with...
 T: Christmas comes with songs, Father Christmas, presents and fun.
2. Christmas songs
 T: Christmas comes with songs. There are a lot of songs about Christmas. Now let’s enjoy this song: 
We wish you a Merry Christmas.
3. Father Christmas
 (1) T: I wish you a Merry Christmas. I also wish I could see Father Christmas. Look! He is coming!
     What do you know about ? (fat, old, kind, red hat, presents...)
 (2)T: Oh, you know so much about him. But do you know these? (出示reindeer, sleigh, chimney)
     Teach the new words.
4. Christmas presents
 (1) T: Finally, Santa puts the presents in the stocking or under the Christmas tree. He is a good man, right? As rewards, shall we give him a present? I think a little chant is a good choice.
   Can you help me complete it?
 (2)Say the chant and sing it with the music.
5. Cartoon time
 (1) T: We have nice presents, we say a happy chant, we have a lot of fun at Christmas. How about the animals? Do they all have fun? (呈现句子) Look at the sentences. I don’t think so. Who say these?
 Watch the silent cartoon and try to guess.
 (2) Bobby and Sam: I like Christmas. Mr turkey: I don’t like Christmas.
We can get the answer from their facial expressions: They look happy. Mr Turkey looks sad.
 (3) Listen and underline: 听录音,划出他们高兴或难过的原因。
(4)People eat turkeys at Christmas. 拓展有关火鸡的知识。
 (5) 4幅图指导朗读。
 (6) Let’s imitate.
 (7) Show time: 给动画配音,然后选一幅图表演。
Step 3 Consolidation
1. T: Mr Turkey is so sad. Can you make him happy?
   Don’t be sad. Mr turkey.
   Let’s...

   This ...is for you.
   Welcome to...
2. You are so kind. Mr Turkey says thank you. He has a present for you. It’s a piece of video.
3. Enjoy a video about Halloween.
4. Read and judge.
5. Give some websites about western and Chinese websites.
Step4: Sum-up
T: What have you learned today? Which part do you like best?
Step 6: Homework
1. Read cartoon time fluently and act it out.
2. Learn to sing a new Christmas song.
3. Surf the internet and get more information about Chinese and western festivals.
