Unit 8 At Christmas 第二课时教学设计

一、教学目标
1. 能听懂、会说、会读词汇: song, us, him, card, What’s wrong with… Merry Christmas!
2. 能理解cartoon time 内容,主动参与故事的建构,养成良好的学习习惯。
3. 通过圣诞节的谈论,适时进行文化渗透,让学生乐于了解异国文化。
4. 培养学生小组合作和的能力和交际意识,激发学习英语的兴趣。
二、教学重点
1. 能理解cartoon time 内容,主动参与故事的建构,养成良好的学习习惯。
2. 能正确运用所学的词汇和句型来谈论圣诞节。
三、教学难点
What do you do at Christmas? 在课外语境中的灵活运用。

白板课件、iPad下载APP、单词卡片
五、教学过程
Step 1: Warm-up
1. Greetings.
2. Goals for this lesson
3. Christmas songs
(1) Listen to “jingle bells” and comes out the topic.
(2) 听歌猜歌名
(3)Sing together : We wish you a Merry Christmas.
Step 2: Revision
1. Watch the cartoon.
2. Order the pictures.
3. Retell Storytime
Step 3: Father Christmas
1. What do you know about Father Christmas? Say something about him.
2. Read the story in Eudic and look up the new words.
3. Finish five choice questions.
4. T and Ss talk about the presents that wants to get from Santa
5. Write a letter to Santa and get an instant reply..
Step 4: Cartoon time
1. Watch and answer : Who likes Christmas? Who doesn’t like Christmas?
Ss: Sam and Bobby look happy. Mr Turkey looks sad.
2. T: Why do they have different feelings? Read E-book and find the reasons.
Ss: Find answers and read in roles.
3. Christmas culture about eating turkey.
4. Interesting turkey: Turkey and Turkish people.
5. T: Mr Turkey is so sad. What can you do/say to make him happy?
Ss: Let’s…/ Welcome to…
T: We can make a card for him.
Ss: Make cards in APP “Xmas Card Maker” and show in class.
Step5: Sum-up
T: What have you learned today? Which part do you like best? 投票Then share the reasons.
Step 6: Homework
1. Read cartoon time fluently and act it out.
2. Sing a new Christmas song..
