※教学目标:
1. 学生通过故事阅读、交流等,整体感知故事,初步理解相关词汇“spooky house, secret, monster, beetle, caterpillar, popcorn, sick of”。
2. 学生通过故事的阅读,享受英语阅读的乐趣;进一步形成预测文本、捕捉信息、猜测生词、语意转化等阅读策略。
3. 学生通过猜测、角色扮演、想象、品读,体会小怪兽与怪兽父母之间的矛盾,以及父母的转变。
4. 学生通过学习本故事,培养质疑能力、充分发挥想象力。

★内容分析:
本文是一篇国外的绘本故事阅读。故事主要是用拟人的方式描写的,以怪兽一家的生活为背景,它图文并茂非常吸引人,同时纯正的英语表达也能为学生积累知识,拓宽知识面。但文本中有较多的生词,个别句子的意思也非常难理解。因此,本课是一篇泛读课文,主要是帮助学生梳理故事的核心内容,通过阅读,培养他们的想象力,让他们享受英语故事的乐趣。
★学生实际:
我班共有48位学生,大多数学生对英语学习比较感兴趣,敢说、乐说英语;但也有个别几个孩子在英语学习上有畏难情绪,课堂思考、发言不够积极。进入六年级后,他们的词汇量增加、阅读理解能力又有了进一步的提升,具备了阅读的策略意识,能捕捉文本中较明显的语言信息。但阅读纯正的绘本故事是第一次,想象故事外的情景、品读表演对他们来说来说,这会是一个难点。此外,故事中的生词也比较多,个别句子还非常难理解,所以会给学生的阅读带来一定的困难。
