T:I’m your new teacher today.I’m Miss Zhang.Do you want to play a game with me?
Ss:Yes.
T:Let’s do a puzzle.And guess who he is.
(设计意图:以在黑板上做拼图猜人物的方式导入,可以激发学生的兴趣,并在此过程中渗透put,并进行多次复现,并由做拼图的过程带出本节课的重点,表示先后顺序的副词first,next,then,finally)
Step2.Presentation and drills
1.Play a game:Do a puzzle
T: First,I put a head and a face on the blackboard.
Next,I put two eyes on the face.
Then,I put a nose on the face.
Finally,I put a mouth and some beard under the nose.(PPT出示文字部分,并在黑板的左上角进行拼图,领读put,并示意学生做一个“放”的动作。领读first,next,then,finally,四个单词之间加箭头表示顺序。)
T:Look,Who is he?
Ss:He’s Father Christmas.
T:Yes.( (PPT出示).He is Father Christmas.
T:When can we see Father Christmas?
Ss: Christmas.
T: So today we will learn Unit8 At Christmas.(出示课题,贴在黑板上,领读课题)
2.T:Christmas is popular in western countries,just like New Year in China.When is Christmas?
(PPT出示日历,指着12月24日和12月25日)Which day?Christmas Day is on the 25th of December,and the day before it,the 24th of December is Christmas Eve. Christmas Day comes after Christmas Eve.(领读Christmas Day,Christmas Eve)
3.T:At Christmas we can see Father Christmas,we also can see a big tree.What tree?A Christmas tree.(PPT出示圣诞树图片)。I buy a Christmas tree in a shop.(PPT出示在商店买圣诞树图片,领读buy,buy a Christmas tree ) What else do I buy?(PPT出示买礼物图片)。I buy some presents.( 领读present,buy some presents)
4.T:Today I take a small Christmas tree for you.Is the tree beautiful?Doed it look great?No,it doesn’t.Just a green tree,nothing on it.We need to decorate it. I have a big stocking.What’s in my stocking?(一些礼物和装饰物品的贴纸)Let me show you.Look,I get a present(礼物盒子的贴纸)from my stocking.So I put a present under the Christmas tree.(PPT出示put…under)Who wants a present?You can get one from my stocking and put it under the Christmas tree.(2-3组学生操作,引导学生用I put a present under the Christmas tree来描述自己的行为,以此达到操练的目的)
T:And this time I get a pretty thing.I put a pretty thing on the Christmas tree.(PPT出示pretty thing,并领读,以贴在圣诞树上做示范)
T:Can you do this like me ?Give you a chance to try. Look at the rules.(PPT出示比赛规则)。
T:Do you understand?Let’s have a competition.Who wants the chance?Please hands up!please get one from my stocking and put it on the Christmas tree .(每组邀请1个同学).(引导学生用I put a pretty thing under the Christmas tree来描述自己的行为,以此达到操练的目的。 )
装饰过后,T:Does the Christmas tree look great?(PPT出示look great)引导学生用Yes,it looks great来回答。对每个小组进行逐一提问,分小组进行集体回答。
(设计意图:让学生竞争装饰圣诞树既可以为学生搭建竞争平台,也可以进行put,present,pretty thing,the Christmas tree 等词汇的操练,还能激发学生的学习兴趣,求知欲和表现欲。)
5.T: Christmas tree and Father Christmas just two parts of Christmas.What else do you know about Christmas?Here is a Christmas culture card for you.You can choose the things about Christmas.(PPT出示Christmas culture card).(学生根据自己的了解选择图片,答对的小组可得到本小组的装饰物品装饰圣诞树,并以此教授stocking,turkey,Christmas pudding).
6.T:How do western people spend their Christmas?Let’s go to Mike’s family and have a look.Please watch the cartoon and put the four pictures in the correct order.
After watching the cartoon,T:Please take out your paper and put the four pictures in correct order,The fastest one can come to the blackboard directly and help me put the four picures on the blackboard in correct order,and your team can get a pretty thing to decorate the Christmas tree.(第一个完成的学生到黑板前将图片排序,并且得到一个装饰物品来装饰圣诞树)。
7.Read and judge.(1分15秒背景音乐)
T:Please open your books and turn to page 78.Please read the text by yourselves and do the judgements.You can line out the key points .
(1)They have a Christmas tree at home.(T)
(2)Christmas Eve comes after Christmas Day.(F)(超链接,课文P78页图片。T:Maybe someone mistook.Look at P3 and P4,let's read the red words.Can you understand now?So we say Christmas Day comes after Christmas Eve.)
(3)People put a stocking on the beds and look for presents.(F)
(以此教授wait for)
(4)People wake up at eleven on Christmas Day.( F)(此处教授early)
(5)People eat chickens on Christmas Day.( F)
(6)People all have a good time on Christmas Day. (T)

8.跟录音读课文。(分三次读,1和2,3,4。每次读完进行提问,并以表格的形式呈现答案)

(3)What do peple do on Christmas Day?
(回答对的学生可以得到装饰物品)
9.跟老师读课文,以拍手打节奏的形式来读,以此增加阅读的乐趣。
读完后T:Are you happy?Yes,we are.We all have a good time!分小组逐一问下,并让小组内齐回答We all have a good time.以达到操练的目的。
10.Happy reading.1.小组内拍手打节奏齐读2.组内某成员领读3.四人分段读(选择你喜欢的方式)(2分钟的背景音乐)
11.Showing time(分小组展示,并以装饰物品作为奖励)
Step3.Consolidation
1.T:Now,can you say something about Christmas.Take out your paper and write your own Christmas by using the four words“ First/Next/Then/Finally…”(先让学生写,再邀请三四个学生说一说。2分钟背景音乐)
2.T:Time is up.At the end of this lesson I will give you a Christmas message : To wish you the special gifts of Christmas──joy, peace and love.
3.T:Let’s look at the Christmas tree,the winner is …Congratulations!Here are the presents!
Step4.Homework
Get to know more western festivals and talk about them with your friends.
