Just saving my money教学设计

一、教学内容

Just saving my money这一故事选自外研社出版的《我爱小怪物》双语分级绘本第五级的内容。该绘本是现行教材五下Unit5Unit6的有效拓展与补充。绘本主要围绕Why does Little Critter save his money? What does he do to earn money? What does he do in the bank? Does he buy the skateboard at last? 等内容展开,并从中挖掘Process is more important than result. 等内涵提升。

二、教学目标

1.  能整体理解绘本内容,会读并尝试表演其中某一场景。

2.  能用He...三单句式描述Little Critter做的事。

3. 能用I ..., but ...的句式描述Little Critter做家务活的场景。

4.  培养学生自主阅读的能力,让学生情景体验和在合作学习的过程中养成好习惯。  

三、教学重难点

1. 能整体理解绘本内容,会读并尝试表演其中某一场景。

2. 能用所学句型描述绘本内容。

五、教学过程

Step1. Pre-reading

1. Do the actions

Show me your left hand.

Show me your right hand.

Put them into your pockets

Take out the things from your pockets.

Then what do you have in your hand?

2. Do a quick survey

   Q1: Do you have pocket money?

   Q2: How much do you usually have?

   Q3: How do you spend your pocket money?

3. Show the cover

   What can you see on the cover?

   What do you want to know about the story?

Step2. While-reading

Part1 Picture1-3

1. Read and answer: Why does he save his money?

2. Try to think: If you were Little Critter, what will you do to save money?

Part2 Picture4-8

1. Read and tick: What does he do to earn money?

2. Try to say: Does he do the chores well?

3. Try to think: Does he give up?

             From the chores, what do you think of Little Critter?

Part3 Picture9

Try to fill in the blanks:  First, Little Critter puts his money in a ______.

Then, his ______ is full.

Finally, he puts his money in the _____.

Part4 Picture10-14

1. Read and order: What does he do in the bank?

2. Try to discuss: Is he happy in the bank all the time? How does he feel in the bank?

Part4 Picture15-19

1. Read and judge.

2. Try to share: Does he buy the skateboard at last? Why?

Step3 Post-reading

1. Read or create. Choose one scene to read or act.

2. Try to retell.

3. Have a debate: Do you thin we should earn money from the chores?

Step4. Homework

1. Tell the story to others.

2. Read more stories about Little Critter.

3. Dont forget to do chores for your family.
