教学内容:绘本教学 Joseph had a little overcoat。
教学目标:

  1. Enable the Ss to listen, say, read and write the words:overcoat,necktie,vest, handkerchief and button.

  2. Enable the Ss to know the meaning of the words”nothing, worn” and the phrases “made…out of”

  3. Enable the Ss to grasp the sentence: It was old and worn.

  4. Enable the Ss to know that we can make something out of nothing.

教学重难点:

  1. The Ss can master the words and phrases.

  2. The Ss can understand and try to tell the story.

  3. The meaning of “made …out of”

教学准备:
CAI, cards, papers and picture books.
教学过程:
Step1: Warm-up

  1. Free talk.

  2. To play a game to review the words about clothes.

  3. To show two overcoats.

 T:What’s it like?
What about this one?
Ss:It’s new. It’s old and worn.
Step2: presentation

  1. Look at my scarf. It’s new. It’s around my neck.

Oh, can you guess what’s on my neck? Take off my scarf. Look, it’s a necktie.
2. Teacher will take off the necktie.
There is nothing on my neck.
Chant it: Nothing,nothing, I have nothing on my neck. Nothing, nothing, I have nothing in my hands.
3. I have nothing in my hands. But I have something in my overcoat.
(1)Take out a button.

(3)Take out some papers.
I made a book out of the papers.
I made a box out of the woods.
4. It’s a picture book about Joseph. The title is :
Joseph had a little overcoat.

Step3: Consolidation

  1. To get the Ss to fill in the blanks to retell the story.

  2. The picture book shows: You can always make something out of nothing.

Group work:
1. Fill in the blanks then put the papers in order and make a book out of them.
2. Retell the story.
Step 4: Homework:
1. Tell the story to your friends or your parents.
2. Try to write a new story like it.
