Alf saves the day学设计 

武进区马杭中心小学 杨鹂

教学目标:

1. 能够通过默读、跟读等活动理解并会读was, were, drew, wanted, went, shouted, jumped, cheered, picked, made 等词;能够在情境中理解、会读dribbling, passing, shooting, heading, save, coach, goal, goalkeeper等词;

2. 能够独立阅读绘本,提取文章中与阿尔夫喜欢足球并与之发生的故事主线信息;

3. 能够正确的朗读故事并结合板书复述绘本故事;

4. 能够发挥想象力,结合自己的实际情况和文中提炼的新语言进行发现自己优势、勇于坚持、不放弃等方面事例交流。 

教学重难点:

重点:学生能够根据一定的提示,梳理故事主线信息。

难点:学生能够结合自己的兴趣爱好并利用本课所学,讲述自己的故事。

教学过程:

Step1 Pre-reading

1. Enjoy a song:We will rock you

  What’s this song about?Football

2. Brain storm: What do you know about football?

  S:football players(梅西 C罗)World Cup; popular in the UK; 英超。。。

  T: There are 11 football players in a team.

Teach: goalkeeper(He saves the ball), coach

  Do you like playing football? Can you play well?Today let’s read a picture book about football.

Step2 While- reading

1. Look and say 

T: This is the cover. What can you see?What do you want to know? Can you ask some questions?

S: Who is the boy? Can he play football well? Is he good at playing football?

T: I have a question about the title. What’s the meaning of “save the day”? How does Alf save the day? Can you guess? With these questions, let’s start reading.

2. Read and underline

T: Look at Alf’s room. We can see football everywhere. Alf loved everything about football. What does “everything”refer to in the story? Read pictures 3-6 and underline the answers.

S: Alf loved drawing pictures about football. There were the pictures everywhere in his room.

T: Alf loved writing football stories. Look, he wrote a lot. Can you guess what would he say?

S: Mum, look at my new story. It’s interesting.

T: What do you think of his Mum? Yes, she supports his hobby. She’s so kind.

T; Alf loved watching football on television. Here, maybe Alf shouted like :

S: Hooray! Good job! Great!

T: Alf loved going to watch matches. Also Alf may said” great! Good job”.And listen!They may sing”Go go go alealeale...” just feel the atmosphere, so carzy!

T: so Alf was a big fan. He was so excited . Can you read this part together?

T: What’s Alf’s dream?Yes, he really really wanted to be a football star. But why is he so sad? Because he wasn’t good at football.

3. Listen and circle

(1) T:Please listen and read pictures 10-12 and circle the answers:What was he not good at?

S: dribbling shooting passing heading. (有请足球小明星来展示这四项技能)

(2) T: Alf was just no good at football. He fet so sad. Can you give Alf some advice? ( work hard, practice more, never give up) 

(3) Read the second part sadly.

4. Watch and answer

T: Alf was very sad, and the coach didn’t pick Alf for the football team. But at last, everynone praissed Alf. What happened?Let’s watch the left part of the story.

5. Read and order

T: This time let’s read for more details.

 Read P15-24 and order the pictures. Then, read them in your groups.

S: (check the answers)

First, Alf went to a football match. Next, he jumped and made a good save. Then, everyone said: What a good save! Then, the coach said: Come with me. Then, he saved every shot from the coach. Finally, he became a good goalkeeper.

T: Was Alf good at football? Yes, he was. He was good at saving the ball.

The dinner lady appears and gives him an opportunity and the coach saw his talent and at last he bacame a good goalkeeper. The dinner lady gives him a cake because he helped her. They are kind to each other. Is it warm?

6. Role- play

This part is interesting. Can you read it or act it out? Work in groups and let’s show.

Step3 Post-reading

1. Retell the story。根据板书,复述故事。

2. Let’s think

(1) T: Did Alf realize his dream at last? How to be a football star?

S: Work hard, never give up.

T: we should also get the support of our family. We should have the talent. We should love to do that. We should enjoy doing it.

(2) T: Look at the title again. Can you understand the title now? S give their ideas.

T: For Alf, it was a happy and special day. He defeated himself and became confident. This story also has a happy ending. So Alf “saves the day”.

(3) What can you learn from the story?

 Everyone has his advantages and disadvantages. Just be yourself, and for yout dreams, never give up...

Step4 homework

1. Make a picture book about your hobby.
