Unit4 I like sport (Lead-in&Cartoon time)

1. Lead-in

1) Greetings

T: Hello, everybody! Good to see you again. Are you ready for the class?

Ss: Yes.

T: OK! Let’s start our lesson! Class begins!

Ss: Stand up!

T: Good morning/afternoon, boys and girls!

Ss: Good morning/afternoon, Miss Wu.

T: Thank you very much. Sit down please.

2) Enjoy a song

T: In this lesson, let’s have some fun together, OK?

Ss: OK.

T: First, let’s sing a song. You can move your body and just do some actions with the video. Try to sing together. Here we go!

T: Good try! So now can you tell me: What’s the song about?

Q: What’s the song about? 这首歌是关于什么的?

Ss: 是关于运动的(学生可以自由选择中英文回答)

T: That’s right! It’s about “sport”, can you try? Pay attention here, “port” we should say like...(教师示范)

Tips: 在读sport时,p的发音却是浊辅音/b/

3) Look and say

T: We all like sport, so the students like them too. Take a look at this picture, where are the students?

Q: Where are the students? 学生们在哪儿?

Ss: They are in the playground.

T: Yes, they are doing some sports in the playground. In the picture, what sport can you see? Let’s try to say, OK?

T: Good! So we can see basketball. Follow me: basketball, basketball, I can see...

T: Good try! And look here, there are some other sports I want to share with you. They are: rope skipping(跳绳), volleyball(排球) and shuttlecock kicking(踢键子) Let’s try to read.

2. Cartoon time

1) Look and guess

T: And now, look at the picture again, Liu Jiajia likes running. Wang Bing and Liu Tao like playing Ping-pong. Mike likes playing football. Su Hai and Yang Ling like playing basketball. Who likes jumping?

Q: Who likes jumping? 谁喜欢呢?

Ss: Sam and Bobby like jumping.

T: Yes, thats right! What other sport may they like? They may like...

2) Look and choose

T: OK, I like your ideas. Now, heres a new story about Sam and Bobby. Now open your books and turn to page34, look at the pictures quickly and try to find: What sport do Sam and his friends all like? OK? Let’s do it! (打开书本P34, 快速浏览图片) Just look at the pictures.

4) Read and find

T: So here we have so many questions about the story. And they are good questions. So now let’s read the story by yourselves and try to find out what you want to know. If you meet any new words you don’t know, just circle them and guess them by pictures. OK? (自读课文,寻找自己想知道的答案吧!)

Tips: 圈出不认识的文字,结合图片猜一猜哦!

T: Yes, that’s right! Kangaroos are good at jumping. So I think he is the best player in the team too.

Tips: 袋鼠最高可跳到4米,最远可跳至13米,是跳得最高最远的哺乳动物

5) Read and say

T: Now, look at these sentences, let’s read together.

7) Imagine and say

T: Yes, why does only two of them look like the most tired in the team? (队伍中他们两为什么看起来最累呢?)
